Wellness coaching works because it is based on proven health behavior psychology methods used by coaches with health, nutrition, and fitness expertise who have strong “being” skills like mindfulness, empathy, warmth, calm energy, a nonjudgmental attitude while listening, and the courage and authenticity to be direct at times, as well as a belief in you.
(Before anything, please understand that I am assisting you and you will need to have an open-mind and dedication to change to see results. I will be there through your transition and support you in achieving your optimal goals whatever they may be.)

I use the following techniques in a planning process that help my clients' to develop their personalized wellness plan:
Completing a Well-being Assessment
At our Consultation, you will fill out a comprehensive well-being assessment. I will review it to get a sense of where you’re coming from and where you want to go. It will also serve as a learning tool for you, as you may be surprised by some of the results. This assessment is a small picture of your current lifestyle.

Creating a Wellness Vision
A wellness vision is uniquely yours and is based on your imagined future of health, wellness and the behaviors that you will incorporate to get you there. Motivation and values are key components and are included in your vision. Acknowledging and using the strengths you will use to overcome any obstacles will help you to move forward in the next part of the process, creating 3-month goals based on your vision.

Setting 3-month Goals
Once your vision is defined, you will work with me to set 3-month goals in order to move toward your vision. I ensure that these will be SMART goals, meaning that they are specific, measurable, action-based, realistic, and on a timeline. Then, they are broken down even further, to make small, manageable steps toward permanent changes.

Goals are tweaked as needed in order to increase the likelihood of success. After a while, you may find that your 3-month goals have shifted. I will check in with you on occasion to be sure you are still going in the direction you choose. If you want to make any changes in your goals, it's your decision.

As your life coach, I create a safe space where you can connect to your passion, clarify your vision, and begin taking the necessary steps to bring your greatest dreams to life. Together we will stretch the bounds of your imagination from the perspective that anything and everything is possible. Having participated in a wide variety of different transformational life programs, my approach is heartfelt, goal-oriented and honors each individual and his or her unique process.
The coaching relationship is a partnership of two equals. Through the use of probing questions, I help connect you with your deepest dreams and desires. Together we will plan the steps you need to take in order to bring your dreams to life. By challenging you to stretch beyond the bounds of what is safe and comfortable, I help you see that you can be and do more than you ever thought possible. Even when you're blinded by fear or lose your direction, I will help you feel safe and supported by reminding you of your strengths, values, and dreams.
I listen carefully to what you say so I can support you in choosing the right path for you; after all, this is your life. No stone goes unturned. Everything that you bring up in our sessions is important and needs to be explored. My role is to allow you to fully express yourself so that you can see the magnificence of who you already are.
